QED527 Persuasive Writing Task

You are to watch the video 'Smoking Kid' by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and in your groups, create and publish a post answering the following questions:

1. What is the purpose of the video, and did it effectively send its message across to the audience? 
2. What are the modes of appeal that it had employed, and how did that work to communicate the video's message? 
3. Would you include anything else to the video to boost its persuasive power? 
4. Imagine that you have an uncle who had been smoking for the past ten years, and he is becoming a father soon. After viewing the video, you would like to persuade him to quit smoking. Bearing in mind the three modes of appeal, craft a draft persuasive paragraph on the points you would like to raise in order to successfully convince him to quit smoking. You are encouraged to look on the internet for additional resources to boost your persuasive power for your arguments. 

You will be given 20 minutes to complete this activity. Do bear in mind that the sources you decide to use in this activity should be deemed reliable by your group.
